Justin Bieber is being dragged for praising Chris Brown

"Damn, he's really cancelled. After supporting him since 2009, I guess he's really over… defending that low life."
Justin Bieber has been publicly showing his support for Chris Brown and people are dragging him for it. The problematic singer was recently arrested for allegedly raping a woman in Paris, France. However, soon after his arrest, Chris was released from police custody and will no longer face charges. Since, he's been attempting to clear his name on social media.
"I wanna make it perfectly clear... This is false and a whole lot of CAP!" he wrote on Instagram. "For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!"
Later, Chris posted a video of himself back "working" shortly after his release. Chris was shown support by a number of rappers, including Meek Mill and Nick Cannon, but it was Justin's comment in particular that attracted a lot of negative attention.
"No one can touch you ur the GOAT," he wrote beneath Chris' post. Now Justin and Chris have been friends for a very long time and have frequently collaborated together, but the comment received a lot of backlash on Twitter and Instagram, and soon the hashtag "#JustinIsOverParty" was trending.
Justin Bieber supporting Chris Brown. A shame, so many artists throwing themselves under the bus. First, Kendrick Lamar supporting R Kelly, now just as Justin Bieber was garnering support from the GP and starting to age like wine, he cancels himself. Disgusting. pic.twitter.com/1TUDnLtzwy

Although the charges on Chris' most recent incident will no longer apply to Chris, he has a history for a string of alleged violent offences. Most famously, Chris pleaded guilty to a felony assault against his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He was sentenced to five years probation, 180 days of community service and he had to take a domestic violence program.
