Carly Rae Jepsen Explains New Album 'Kiss': "It's About Love And Flirtation"

The 'Call Me Maybe' star also talks about her own first ever kiss at the age of 17.
Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed she had her first kiss at 17 and says she named her brand new album 'Kiss' because she wanted it tone about "love and flirtation".
The 'Call Me Maybe' singer officially announced the name of her new record earlier this month, and says the also named the album after one of her favourite songs that features on it.
"It really is an album about love, flirtation and the beginning of things and it felt like it really suited it," Carly revealed to MTV NEWS over the weekend. "As well, there's a track called 'This Kiss' on the album, which I think is probably my favourite song so that's probably why."
Carly, who was signed to Justin Bieber's Schoolboy Records label earlier this year, went on to say that she intentionally waited for the right person to share her own first kiss with.
"I waited for my first kiss. I waited until I was 17," Carly revealed. "He was a jazz singer named Brenden Call. Nice call, sweet guy. We still keep in touch on Facebook!"

Carly's mentor Justin has already praised her for 'Kiss', which boasts her recent singles 'Call Me Maybe' and 'Good Time', and told her "good work' after hearing it for the first time.
'Kiss' is set to feature collaborations with the likes of LMFAO's 'RedFoo, Fun. and Justin Bieber himself.
Carly Rae Jepsen will officially release her new album 'Kiss' on 18th September.
