The 'Good Time' star's smash hit single has been covered by female duo May Arcade.
Carly Rae Jepsen's hit single 'Call Me Maybe' has been covered by a pair of female musicians from Newcastle who have reworked the lyrics to adopt the Geordie slang.
The pair, known as May Arcade. Can be heard changing such lyrics as the song's title to "giz a ring will ya pet" and "A hoyed a wish in the well," to start the track.
Playing acoustic guitars the, two singers have already achieved thousands of hits online for their rendition.
The Newcastle pair join the likes of Katy Perry, London 2012's Team USA swimming team and Hollywood actor James Franco who have all covered the song.
Speaking to Capital earlier this summer, Carly admitted that Justin and girlfriend Selena Gomez's version was her favourite as it started the trend of covers which have since emerged online.

The Cookie Monster from Sesame Street and even Barack Obama have been used in virals of the single.
Meanwhile, Carly is preparing to release her new album 'Kiss' which will feature the track as well as her recent Owl City collaboration 'Good Time'.
