The 'It Will Rain' singer is happy the track is nominated for a Grammy Award.
Bruno Mars has revealed that his ballad 'Grenade' is what he considers to be his "trophy song".
The 'Marry You' singer received a total of five Grammy Award nominations at the industry event last night (30th November) and is glad his song is receiving high praise.
Speaking to MTV news backstage at the ceremony he said: "I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we're really happy that that song is being recognized because that's like our trophy song."
'Grenade' was a track that the star dedicated a lot of time during the recording process as he knew there he was onto something special.
He added: "That was the hardest song on the whole album to finish because we knew we had something, and to get all that emotion out."
Bruno is nominated in a total of five categories including nods in both the 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album' groups for his debut album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans'.
Earlier, he tweeted that he was overwhelmed with the nominations.
