Britney Spears Hints That The X Factor USA Finale Performance Could Happen

The 'I Wanna Go' star says something could be "in the works" in terms of her singing on the show.

Britney Spears has hinted that a possible live performance on The X Factor USA could be in the works.

The FOX reality series began its first live shows this week (31st October) and 'Toxic' singer Britney admits she could end up taking to the stage herself before the end of the season.

"Maybe so," Britney cryptically told Extra! ahead of the live show. "Something could be in the works. We don't know."

Britney joined the show's panel for the current second season alongside Demi Lovato, and the two join returning judges Simon Cowell and LA Reid.

Music mogul LA recently admitted he hopes both Britney and Demi will return for a second season of The X Factor USA next year.

"I'm actually very hopeful that X Factor keeps the same panel going forward," he revealed to Billboard. "I think that we actually suffer a little for not having that consistency in our panel."

The X Factor USA live shows launched on Wednesday (31st October) with new hosts Mario Lopez and reality star Khloe Odom.
