Britney Spears: "I'm So Excited About Being A Judge On The X Factor USA"

The 'Criminal' star speaks for the first time since being confirmed for the new series of the US show.

Britney Spears has admitted she feels "so excited" about being a judge on The X Factor USA.

The 'Criminal' star was confirmed as one of the four panelists for the second series of the US TV show on Monday (14th May).

She will be joined by Simon Cowell, LA Reid and fellow new judge Demi Lovato.

Britney's confirmation on the judging panel follows weeks of speculation linking the 'Slave 4 U' singer to the judging seat vacated by Nicole Scherzinger last year.

Speaking at a press conference in New York, Brintey said: "I am so excited about this whole experience. It's gonna be so much fun and so different from anything I've ever done and I'm ready to find the true star."

Britney wore a revealing beige-coloured dress to the launch event, before later changing to attend a dinner with the rest of the judges at ABC Kitchen.

Britney was joined by her fiancé Jason Trawick, who put his arm around the star as they made their way through Central Park on a golf buggy.

The X Factor USA is due to begin later this year.
