Madonna producer not on Britney album

Madonna producer William Orbit has failed to make the cut for the new Britney Spears album.

The producer, who worked on Madonna's 'Ray Of Light', said that although he wrote songs for the album, they didn't make the tracklisting.

Writing on Twitter he said: 'the Britney thing. Look, I went to a writing camp at Teresa's. Had a lovely time. Word got out. Assumptions were made.

'did a song w Klas Ahlund, who wrote 'Piece of Me'. And is killa. But not on FF apparently. But a good song is a good song regardless.'

He later added: 'this is going to be a fab album. Whichever way,it's going to be anotha part of the Britney legend.'

'Femme Fatale' is due out on March 29th.
