The 'Scream & Shout' star's new video reportedly featured a different "shocking" ending originally.
Britney Spears filmed a Breaking Bad style ending to her music video for 'Perfume' before settling on a different edit for the final version, according to the video's director.
The 'Toxic' star unveiled the official video this week but director Joseph Kahn says he wishes Britney had released the original director's cut version that included a "shocking ending".
"Wish they'd release the director's cut of 'Perfume'," Joseph tweeted this week after the video's premiere. "Britney's performance is unbelievable. A true artist in it. Game changer.
"Official cut is a good video as you'll soon see," he continued. "But it's a true loss not to see what she really did.
"It's incredible. Beyonce other artists," Joseph explained. "But to be VERY honest. Some people would prefer the official version. It's prettier. Simpler. I like it. But I love the Director's Cut so much more.
The director then described the ending of the original version of 'Perfume' as being "shocking" and likening it to Breaking Bad, tweeting: "The DC is a minute longer and there's a very shocking ending. But not what you think. I call it BREAKING BADNEY."
Britney Spears will release 'Perfume' as the second single from her album 'Britney Jean'.
