Panic! At The Disco could be adding a shiny new award to their trophy cabinet reaaaaaal soon.
Dust off your tuxedos kids because we're going to the Tony Awards! Yes, Panic! At The Disco have been nominated for an Tony award and Brendon Urie is one step closer to finally taking over Broadway.
Brendon is nominated in the "Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written For Theatre" category for the song he wrote called "(Just a) Simple Sponge."
The soundtrack has been nominated as a whole, which means every composer on the album has been nominated. If he wins, Brendon will share his award with the likes of John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Sara Bareilles, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith and T.I.

The soundtrack is facing tough competition in the category from the likes of Frozen, Angels In America, The Band's Visit and Mean Girls.
