The Panic! At The Disco frontman contributed a song to the musical which opened in New York late last year.
Brendon Urie hit New York this past weekend (January 27th), just in time for the annual Grammys ceremony, with the singer spotted at the famous kickoff party hosted by Clive Davis the night before alongside his wife Sarah:
Looking good guys!
But the pair weren't just in town to party - they were there to finally check out Broadway musical Spongebob Squarepants which opened in December at the Palace Theatre. Brendon, of course, contributed a song to the score, entitled 'Just A Simple Sponge', alongside other pop composers including David Bowie, John Legend, Cyndi Lauper and The Flaming Lips.
The production was met with excellent critical notices and it seems that Brendon agrees, sharing a positive message on social media, alongside a photo of himself with the show's star Ethan Slater:
In fact, judging by this video clip from Ethan's dressing room, it looks like the pair had a great time messing around after the show too:

Brendon is, of course, no stranger to Broadway having performed a 2017 summer run in Kinky Boots as Charlie Price, breaking box office records and delighting audiences.
In fact, he is such a huge fan of musical theatre that he couldn't even stop himself from singing along to Ben Platt's performance of 'Waving Through A Window' from Dear Evan Hansen at Clive Davis' party:

We've all been there tbh.
Brendon is currently hard at work on the upcoming sixth Panic! At The Disco album which is expected to drop later this year.
