Shawn Mendes' response to being left on read by Billie Eilish is actually pretty funny.
Billie Eilish released her debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? and she has already amassed plenty of celebrity fans. The 17-year-old singer can count Justin Bieber among the famous people who have slid into her DMs for a friendly chat, but her recent revelation about leaving Shawn Mendes "on read" is nothing short of hilarious.
In an interview with First We Feast, Billie revealed that the last celebrity she left on read happened to be global superstar Shawn Mendes. Super relatable, right?

"Shawn Mendes texted me but I didn't respond," she told the publication, laughing.
Obviously, there was nothing malicious behind BIllie's answer. It's actually kind of wild to ever be in a position to leave The Shawn Mendes on read. Billie clearly doesn't play coy when it comes to dishing about her fellow celebs but she's never snarky.
Shawn Mendes played it cool in his response to the video, quote tweeting it and writing "LOL wow" on Twitter.

What we really want to know (and what Billie and Shawn need to release) are the texts in question. Could the two possibly have been discussing a potential collaboration? Now, that would be a vibe.
Fans got a kick out of the whole interaction.

Meanwhile, Billie's album is on track to debut at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. Not too shabby for a bad guy, huh?
