In a recent Rolling Stone interview alongside Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Billie Eilish opened about feeling "alone all the time" on tour and wondering if even still enjoyed music. She also revealed that her next album "haunts" her.
Billie Eilish is one of the most interesting young artists in the game right now. The 17-year-old released her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? earlier this year and managed to break some pretty massive records in the process. Recently, Billie linked up with Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day for Rolling Stone's Musicians on Musicians interview series.

In the interview, Billie opened up about her upcoming album and what life has been like on her busy world tour. She also revealed that there was a time she questioned whether she even enjoyed making music anymore.
"[My next album] haunts me," Billie told the publication. "There was a period where I was like, 'Do I even enjoy music?' It just felt like so much touring.
"And I don’t mean the shows. The shows are always my favourite part. But it was just travelling and being alone all the time, on a cold bus in Europe, horrible food, and when you come back, everyone's kind of moved on from you."
She continued: "This last tour I went on was the first I've ever enjoyed. I feel like I have this amazing thing that now I actually see."
Earlier in October, Billie's brother and collaborator Finneas O'Connell told Zane Lowe that he and Billie were "deep into the creative process on new material". With Billie on tour for much of 2019, it's unlikely we'll hear new tunes before the year is out. However, "deep in the creative process" sounds very promising.

The two Billies also gushed over each other's work during the interview and bonded over the fact that they both had siblings who turned them on to music.

Billie Eilish told the Green Day legend she'd never "been so conscious of [herself] during a show" than when she knew Billie Joe Armstrong was in the crowd at one of her gigs. She also confessed that he used to be the wallpaper on her lock screen. A true stan!
