Billie Eilish discusses her experience with a stalker in a Rolling Stone interview.
Billie Eilish has opened up about about "creepy" strangers visiting her house after her address leaked online.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Billie talks at length about her newfound fame, success and childhood. Bille speaks up about her own experiences with body dysmorphia and self-harm. She also touches on the positives and negatives of always being in the public eye.
She "loves" performing in front of thousands of fans. However, she also reveals: “I have a job that doesn’t allow me to break down. I can’t go cry somewhere, I can’t go scream and be mad. I have to work.”
In reference to her recent rise to celebrity status, Billie also divulges that she now has stalkers.
Rolling Stone reveals that Billie's "family’s home address leaked online, and three fans showed up in a single day, including a creepy older guy who’d driven all the way from San Diego." Billie also "had a bodyguard sleep in the living room" for a while in case of emergency. Discussing the stalker and people showing up at her house, Billie says: "It was really traumatizing. I completely don’t feel safe in my house anymore, which sucks. I love my house.”
Billie still lives with her parents, Maggie and Patrick, in the house in which she grew up. Her brother Finneas has moved into his own place recently but his room, which contains the bedroom studio in which he and Billie write and record all of Billie's music, has been left untouched. Maggie and Patrick said to him: "If Billie still lives at home, and she still wants to make music with you, we want you to be able to do that here."
As it stands, Billie has no intentions of moving. We hope that she can feel safe in her own home again soon.
