Beyonce's father denies rift

Beyonce's father Matthew Knowles has denied rumours he was dumped over a family rift.

The pair announced they were parting ways on a 'business level' and that the split was 'amicable'.

But rumours started circulating that the pair's relationship hasn't recovered from a family scandal last year, when Matthew was revealed to have fathered a lovechild while he was still married to the star's mother, Tina.

The baby was born three months after Tina Knowles filed for divorce.

But Matthew was quick to clarify matters by issuing a statement insisting he wanted to commit more time to other artists. 

'We mutually agreed to part ways in terms of me managing Beyonce, as my focus is in the investment of Music World Entertainment's growing gospel and inspirational music division,' he told Us Weekly.

'Because of the success of all of these artists, my focus has to be on gospel now.'

He managed his daughter's career since she joined Destiny's Child, in the late 1990s through to her success as a solo artist.
