The BRIT Awards 2014 took place last night (19th February) and kept the country entertained with a host of big-name award winners, some truly incredible performances and hilarious moments as well.
Beyonce was a late addition to the BRITs performer line-up and rocked up in a glittery blue dress to sing her track 'XO', while other amazing performances on the night included Katy Perry's neon-Egyptian themed 'Dark Horse', Ellie Goulding's moving rendition of 'Burn' and a team-up between Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers of songs like 'Happy' and 'Get Lucky'.
On the awards front, One Direction and Arctic Monkeys were the big winners, picking up two gongs apiece, with 'Best Song Ever' stars 1D walking away with the Global Success award for the second year running.
Ellie Goulding won British Female Solo Artist, Bruno Mars won International Male Solo Artist and Rudimental picked up British Single for their Ella Eyre collaboration 'Waiting All Night'.
This year's BRITs event was a truly colourful affair that included funny moments like James Corden's experimentation with pyrotechnics, Alex Turner's bizarre acceptance speeches and Harry Styles almost missing out on his award acceptance speech because he was in the toilet.
