Beyonce: "I'm Glad I Waited To Have Baby"

The 'Countdown' star says her career had to come first before she had her first child.

Beyonce is set to give birth to her first child in February 2012 with her husband Jay-Z.

"It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship and my self-worth before I became a mother," she told Harper's Bazaar.

"Now God has blessed us with the ultimate."

The singer recently showed off her baby bump in the video for her new single 'Countdown'.  

It is due for release on 30th October.
