"These white gays love to dog me yet can never keep my name out of their mouths"
Azealia Banks has described Troye Sivan as "entitled" after recent comments he made about her in an interview with Zach Sang.
In the 40 minute interview, Troye answers questions about his new single and album, as well as talking about his life since releasing his first album Blue Neighbourhood in 2015.
At one point, Sang asks Troye whether there will be any collaborations on his upcoming record. Troye dodges the question somewhat, saying, "I don't know. There's one song I could potentially get someone on but I just haven't done it yet." Then comes the follow up question: would he ever work with a rapper? "Ummm Kevin Abstract would be really cool. He's a legend" he says. But then he brings up Azealia Banks:
"And then...who else? I mean, I was a huge Azealia Banks fan but that all went south a little bit. It's just one of those annoying things where you just wanna support [her] so bad and it just doesn't work out like that. Then she'll put out a song and you'll be like 'it's so good' but you just can't engage."
Troye Sivan Talks My My My! Azealia Banks and the LGBT Community
Azealia was quick to respond to Troye's comments. In an Instagram stories post, she responded saying he was "entitled" and that "these white gays love to dog me yet can never keep my name out of their mouths." Azealia posted:
"Ok tbh i have never heard a Troye Sivan song a day in my life. The only reason I know about him is because the kunt brigade [Azealia's fan group name] likes him. But how is he gonna be like "he wanted to collab but things went south"... what type of entitlement?"
She continues, "LOL, who told him a collab with me was a possibility? What happens if I personally have no interest in collaborating with him??? 😂😂 These white gays love to dog me yet can never keep my name out of their mouths."
"For the record I am not interested nor have I ever been interested in a collaboration with Troye Sivan. The type of entitlement with which he's chosen to mention me is a real turn off...don't even know the kid"
Me asking Troye the reason as to why he can’t support Azealia Banks because there is no VALID reason pic.twitter.com/p55LaKjymK

First of all he didn’t say he hates her,he said that he still enjoys her music and still tries to support her so stop ignoring that BUT if he did say he hates her 1-it’s his opinion 2-she is homophobic and that personally offends him since he is part of the lgbt+ community

good morning why are people fighting over troye's opinion of azealia banks when he literally said her music is great he just can't support her for what shes said and he said it in the literal politest and most professional way possible pic.twitter.com/Tqy2OuJlcp

I’m just not really sure why all y’all are being so petty about this? Troye said what he said, that’s his opinion, he didn’t say anything derogatory towards Azealia. Move on, BUT instead y’all are tearing Troye to shreds for no reason because he doesn’t like your fave. Bye 👋🏽

I don’t think what Troye said about Azealia was that bad what I do think however is why even bring her up? Like why even make a comment? I just hate how if she were to respond it would be seen as a her attacking as opposed to reacting!

I guess we won't be seeing a Troye x Azealia collab any time soon then. *cries in homosexual*
