Ariana and her father Edward were previously estranged.
Ariana Grande has been busy on her Sweetener World Tour recently but she still found time to catch up with her family on Thanksgiving. The 'thank u, next' singer spent Thanksgiving with her mother Joan Grande and father Edward Butera for the first time in 18 years.

Ariana shared a selfie with both of her parents on her Instagram Story, which she captioned: "First thanksgiving with both of my parents in 18 years!" Aww. Ari went on to post videos and photos of Edward with a goldfish painted on his cheek. She also shared clips of her family and friends dancing, simply captioned "thankful".
It seems Ariana's relationship with her father is finally back on track. Joan and Edward split when Ariana was just eight-years-old and she eventually fell "out of touch" with him in 2013. In an interview with Seventeen in 2014, Ariana opened up about the relationship between her and her father. The interview was titled, "The toughest thing she has ever had to deal with".
"Falling out of touch with my dad. It's private, but it happened last year," she explained. "It took me so long to be okay with it. The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that that I am made up of half my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him. So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn't like that about myself. I had to accept that it's okay not to get along with somebody and still love them."
It's not known when exactly they reconciled but Ariana did share a sweet Father's Day tribute for Edward on Instagram earlier this year. Edward had also posted a photo of Ariana in 2016 on Twitter. In 2018, Ariana shared an image of herself FaceTiming her father on Instagram during Christmas. That same year, Ariana referenced him in her hit track 'thank u, next'.
