Ariana Grande shared her PTSD reality, posting a screenshot of her brain to Instagram Stories, calling it "not a joke" and "hilarious and terrifying".
Ariana Grande shared a post on her Instagram stories that displays what she calls "terrifying" impacts of PTSD on her brain.
Fans of Ariana Grande are expressing their support after the 25-year-old singer posted what appeared to be scans of a "healthy brain" versus one with PTSD. Ariana's Instagram stories post showed that her brain was lit up with white spots, similar to the example she shared of another PTSD sufferer.
Ariana called the scans "hilarious and terrifying" also noting that it was "not a joke".
The NHS classifies PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) as an "anxiety disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events."
"PTSD is a serious mental illness and sometimes she really needs a break from everything. the fact that ariana is still touring shows how much she cares. i really hope she makes sure to take care of herself," wrote one fan. Other fans chimed in with messages of support for the star.
we forget that ariana grande witnessed 22 of her fans die in her arena, the youngest being an eight year old girl. 250 people were injured as well. it’s no surprise that she is suffering extreme PTSD and we should be encouraging her to take that seriously.
