Ariana Grande stuns in new Positions video
The meaning behind Ariana Grande's 'positions' lyrics and video and everyone who cameos in it.
Ariana Grande is back with a banger. 'Positions' is a glorious sex bop and the meaning behind the lyrics and video is iconic.
'Positions' is an R&B hit produced by Ariana Grande's longterm collaborator Tommy Brown and 'My Type' producer London On Da Track. The lyrics see Ariana coo about being so in love with someone that you're willing do things you "usually don't do". The entire song is filled with double entendres though. Ariana's "switchin' positions" both in and out of the bedroom.

Like all Ariana Grande videos, the visual provides extra meaning to the song and it includes some very legendary cameos.
Playing on the word 'position', the 'Positions' video sees Ariana take the highest position possible. In the visual, she stars as a fictional president of the United States with her very own progressive government. Better yet, Ariana's fictional 'Positions' government is inclusive of LGBTQ+ people. The video features a diverse range of familiar faces including trans and non-binary people.
