Ariana Grande will donate money from a recent show in Atlanta, Georgia. The proceeds are set to go to Planned Parenthood, which provides healthcare and abortion services to women across America.
Ariana Grande will donate the proceeds from her recent sold out Atlanta 'Sweetener' Tour stop to Planned Parenthood. The pop star plans to give money to the organisation following recent controversial anti-abortion legislation in the state.
According to reports, Ariana is donating $250,000 to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood provides crucial healthcare and abortion services to women all over America. Last month, people reacted with outrage as a spate of strict abortion bans and "heartbeat" bills were passed in states like Georgia, Ohio, and Alabama.
In early May, Georgia's governor Brian Kemp signed a bill banning abortion as soon as a fetal heartbeat is detected.
Hayley Williams, Cole Sprouse, Ariana Grande and more speak out against Alabama's abortion ban
Ariana has been open about her support for abortion rights. Last month the singer shared an ACLU tweet reminding people that abortion is still legal in all 50 US States.
Ariana Grande is continuing to speak out on important social issues.
The sizeable donation comes days after Ariana Grande responded to video of anti-LGBTQ+ protestors outside of her concert. The singer took to Twitter to share her disappointment over people outside one of her shows displaying an anti-Pride poster.
