Ariana Grande's new duet with The Weeknd appears to be about her relationships with Mac Miller and Dalton Gomez.

Ariana Grande's new album Positions is out now and fans are convinced that her 'Off the Table' lyrics are about Mac Miller.

Today (Oct 30), Ariana Grande released her sixth studio album Positions. The project is 14 tracks long and it features her hit single 'Positions', as well as collaborations with stars such as Doja Cat and Ty Dolla $ign. The R&B record is filled with sex bops and personal ballads, and it's already receiving widespread praise from fans and critics alike. Ms Grande did that!

It's her duet with The Weeknd, 'Off the Table', which is sparking the most online conversation though. The song appears to reference her relationships with both her late ex Mac Miller and her new boyfriend Dalton Gomez, and fans can't get over how emotional the meaning behind it is.

'Off the Table' is a stripped-back ballad in which Ariana wonders if she will "ever love the same way again". She sings: "Will I ever love somebody like the way I did you? / Never thought you'd be so damn hard to replace." She continues: "Might not be quite yet healed or ready / Should I be goin' too steady? / But I just wanna know, is love complеtely off the table?"

The Weeknd then sings from the perspective of someone who is willing to wait for Ariana. He croons: "I'll wait for you / Even though it always feels like I'll be number two / To someone you can't hold anymore." Fans believe that these lines confirm that Ariana is directly referring to Mac Miller and The Weeknd is singing from the perspective of Dalton Gomez.
