Ariana Grande is one of the most prolific artists in the music industry right now. Over the course of the past 10 months, she's released six hit singles (from 'no tears left to cry' to 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored', they all slap) and two number 1 albums (sweetener and thank u, next). With that in mind, it's no wonder that she's inspired multiple memes. And now she's responsible for a new viral challenge.

It is no secret that internet loves a good text challenge. In the past few weeks alone, we have been blessed with some of the wildest text challenges in recent history. First things first, there was the "I want a baby" challenge, then there was the "would you still love me if I had no skin" challenge and now there is the "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored" challenge and it's messy AF.

The challenge takes inspiration from Ariana Grande's latest single in which she encourages a guy she is attracted to to break up with his girlfriend because she is, you guessed it, bored. It's tongue-in-cheek and hilarious but it's now taken on a very real form in a new viral challenge in which people text people who they think are sketchy: "break up with you girlfriend, i'm bored".

It was all started by Twitter user @holy_schnitt shortly after the song came out. She tweeted: "ok ladies everyone text a guy you think is shady and say “break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored” and reply with a screenshot of his response". Within a few hours, it had thousands of replies and the results are hilarious and heartbreaking. Check out the most shocking ones below.
