The 'Someone Like You' singer was named as the number one choice for the prestigious role.
Adele's highly anticipated James Bond theme tune 'Skyfall' has been called "extraordinary" by two of movie's producers.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer confirmed months of speculation this week when she announced that she had penned the track via a post on her Twitter account.
Asked why she was brought on board, the film's producer Michael G. Wilson told Stv: "Why wouldn't you? She's the number one top singer, the most popular singer in the world. If she would do it, gosh, who wouldn't want her?"
Fellow producer Barbara Brocoli said everyone involved with the film was behind the track.
"We love this song, it's extraordinary, and we can't wait for you to hear it," she declared.

A short snippet of the song has since emerged online and the track itself has been praised as a "classic" by critics.
The song will be premiered on Adele's official website on Friday (5th October) morning at 00:07 hrs BST (London Time).
Speaking about her decision to sign up for the song, Adele admitted that although she was hesitant at first, it was simply a "no brainier".
