The 'Rolling In The Deep' posts first tweet of year as she acknowledges making shortlist for Best Original Song.
Adele has taken to Twitter to post her first tweet of the year as she said thank you after receiving a nomination for Best Original Song at the Oscars 2013.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' star joked how she felt like Academy Award winning actress Meryl Streep upon hearing the news that 'Skyfall' had made the shortlist.
She tweeted: "Oh my god I feel like Meryl Streep!! Thank you x"
The James Bond theme will go up against tracks from such films as Life of PI, Ted and Les Misérables on the big night in Hollywood.
Adele has also been rumoured to be performing during a special James Bond segment at the Academy Awards next month and is said to be making her first public appearance since giving birth at this weekend's Golden Globes.
Meanwhile, Adele has also been rumoured to be making a return to the studio to work on her third album.
Her last release '21' was also recently named the most popular selling record in the US for two years running.
