Adele equals Madonna's chart record
Adele has matched Madonna's album record by staying top of the UK charts for nine weeks.
Her latest LP, '21', has now spent the same length of time at Number One as the Queen of Pop's first 1990 greatest hits record, 'The Immaculate Collection'.
The figure is the longest ever held by a female artist.
The accolade comes just weeks after she became the first living artist since The Beatles to have two top five hits in the UK single and album charts simultaneously.
Her success continues to snowball overseas too. Her latest album regained the top spot in the Billboard album chart last week.
