The 'Rolling In The Deep' star's soundtrack reduced the actor to tears as he admits the song is "perfect" for the film.
Daniel Craig has confessed that he "cried" the first time he ever heard Adele's James Bond Skyfall theme tune.
The actor, who is reprising his role as 007 for the third time in the latest film, told Yahoo Movies that the song "perfectly" matched the feel of the movie.
"I cried," the British star admitted. "From the opening bars I knew immediately, then the voice kicked in and it was exactly what I'd wanted front the beginning."
He continued: "It just got better and better because it fitted the movie. In fact the more of the movie we made, the more it fitted it."
Speaking to Capital FM at the premiere of the movie he also offered his congratulations to the singer – who is rumoured to have given birth to a baby boy last week.
After confirming her involvement with the track earlier this month, the '21' star admitted she was initially hesitant to take up the role of recording the track but it soon became a "no brainier".
"There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song," she confessed.
Fellow Skyfall star Dame Judi Dench was also full of praise for the song telling Capital she thinks the track is "great".
Meanwhile, it is reported that the star has already begun work on her next studio album with the view to release the record in late 2013.
