The '21' star is still resting her vocal chords after undergoing emergency surgery.
Adele has been using a voice-generating iPhone app after undergoing throat surgery, according to reports.
The 'Someone Like You' was apparently introduced to the device because doctors have told her she must rest her vocal chords why she recovers.
Rather than speaking, the app allows users to type their message, which is then relayed through the phone's speakers.
A source told The Sun: "She's been using the speaking app to buy coffee at Starbucks and to order cabs.
"It is far easier to communicate using it rather than writing everything down on paper and showing people."
Earlier this month, Adele confirmed she was on the mend following successful throat surgery in the US.
"Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes," Adele posted on her official blog. "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all.
"The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."
Meanwhile, the 'Set Fire To The Rain' released her new DVD 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' last week.
