Adele Poses For Elle's New 2013 Women In Music May Cover

The 'Someone Like You' singer stars on the fashion publication's latest edition.

Adele has been revealed as the cover star for Elle magazine's upcoming May edition for their Women In Music edition.

The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer can be seen with her hair styled in an elegant ponytail which drops just off her right shoulder in the shot.

The publication will also feature tributes from fellow musicians such as Britney Spears, Katy Perry, John Mayer and Barbara Streisand.

Photographer Thomas Whiteside revealed more details on the shoot – which took place when the singer was still in Los Angeles.

He said: "We photographed Adele at L.A.'s iconic EastWest Studios, where Frank Sinatra recorded his greatest hits."

"The set reflected Adele's retro crooner style perfectly," Added Elle's Creative Director Joe Zee.

Whiteside also revealed that the British singer sand Happy Birthday to him on the shoot to celebrate his special day – which coincided with the shoot.

Rita Ora and Alicia Keys are also being celebrated by Elle on a series of rotating covers which will be published.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed this week that the '21' star is back in the studio working on he third studio album.
