The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer is said to be keen for her boyfriend's good friend Sid to be godfather.
Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki are reportedly wanting EastEnders star Sid Owen to become the godfather of the newborn baby.
The 'Someone Like You' singer is widely believed to have given birth to her first child last Friday (19th October), and is said to be keen for Strictly Come Dancing star Side to be "closely involved" with the life of their son.
"Sid is over the moon for Adele and his friend Simon," a friend of the actor's told Daily Star. "He loves both of them dearly and in all the excitement of the baby news he let slip that they wanted him to be closely involved with their son.
"Sid sent a massive bouquet, present for the baby and a card to Adele," they added. "Sid's pretty hopeful he's a front runner to be godfather.
Reports that Adele has given birth emerged last week and the 'Rolling In The Deep' singer did not attend the premiere of the new James Bond film in London last night (23rd October), despite writing and recording the theme song for 'Skyfall'.

Stars Daniel Craig and Judi Dench have both praised Adele's soundtrack for the Sam Mendes directed film, with Daniel saying he knew the song was right as soon as he heard it and Dame Judi describing it as a "great song".
Adele has also been reported as having started working on her third studio album over the past several months.
