Adele Chuffed With Mercury Prize Nomination
The 'Someone Like You' singer says her nomination was "unexpected."
Adele took to her blog when she found out her '21' album was in the running for the Mercury Prize.
"I'm unbelievable chuffed to be nominated for the mercury," Adele posted.
"Thank you so so much, totally unexpected i found out yesterday on my way home from paris.
"Congratulations to all the other nominees too. and i’d like to add my own nod to wild beasts as well. see you there xx" (sic)
Adele is up against the likes of Tinie Tempah and Katy B for the prestigious prize which will be announced at the awards bash on Tuesday 6th September.
