Full Terms and Conditions
Rules:
1. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Charities ("Global Charities") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at www.makesomenoise.com/terms-conditions/ ) apply to the ‘Global’s Make Some Noise Text Competitions’ ("the Competition") as detailed in the Rules.
2. The "Radio Station" advertising the competition is Capital Network.
3. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from Global Charities.
Details of the competition:
4. To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with the keyword to station shortcode Capital – 83958 (TENERIFE) (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rate. If you text after the closing time you will not be entered but may still be charged. The Text Message Line will open at 06.00am on 7th August (the “Opening Time”) and close at 08.30am on 11th August 2017.
5. After entering the Competition, participants will receive a bounceback text message informing them that a voluntary donation to Global’s Make Some Noise (registered charity 1091657 (England & Wales) & SC041475 (Scotland)) of £3 will be taken automatically an hour (60 minutes) after the time the first text was received, unless they reply with the word STOP. The £3 donation will be taken from the mobile phone used to enter the Competition and 100% of the donation will go to Global’s Make Some Noise.
6. For the avoidance of doubt, you do not need to donate in order to be eligible for entry to the competition. Anyone who replies STOP to the first bounceback message and thereby opts out of donating £3 to Global’s Make Some Noise will still be included in the prize draw.
7. The winner will be notified that they have won using the number of the phone that their text entry was sent from. The winner may be required to answer their phone, talk to the presenter/s and a call recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted.
Eligibility:
8. You must be over 18 to enter the Competition.
9. You can enter up to 10 times only, however you must text STOP after each entry to opt out of donating £3 to Global’s Make Some Noise.
Prize:
10. The prize consists of a 7-night holiday to Tenerife for four people.
11. No substitute prizes or cash alternatives are available.
12. The prize is non transferable.
Specific prize terms:
- The prize includes four economy return flights from any UK Jet2.com base airports (Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, East Midlands, Birmingham and London Stansted) to Tenerife South, seven nights accommodation for 4 adults (aged 18 or over) in 2 double deluxe rooms at The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife in Playa Pariso on a bed and breakfast basis.
- 4 x complimentary adult 1 day passes at Siam Park in Tenerife.
- Any additional costs charged at the hotel including dining and excursions must be covered by the winner.
- The prize must be booked by 22nd September 2017 and dates for travel must be between these date brackets and subject to availability:
5th November 2017 – 15th December 2017;
8th January 2018 – 8th February 2018;
26th February 2018 – 23rd March 2018;
17th April 2018 – 24th May 2018;
4th June 2018 – 25th June 2018.
- All prize elements must be redeemed at the same time and all 4 travellers must travel to and from the same UK airport.
- Flights provided are inclusive of all applicable taxes.
- 22kg baggage on flights is included, any in addition to this will need to be covered by the winner.
- Once the holiday is booked, it is non-changeable, exchangeable, or refundable. If you miss your flight, or fail to take the outbound leg, your flight will be void and cancelled.
- Return transfers from the airport to the hotel in Tenerife are included.
- Transfers in the UK are not included.
- Additional incidental expenses (visas, insurance etc) are the winner’s responsibility and expense. All optional flight/board/accommodation supplements are extra and must be paid for by the winner at the time of booking for all the travelling party.
- All passengers must hace a valid passport to travel, together with any relevant visa and/or other entry requirements.
- Holiday insurance is not included and must be purchased before travel.
- Wheelchair access may be limited.
- All prizes and dates are subject to flight and hotel availability at the time of request and may only be taken during the timeframes specified in the individual prize terms. Please note, prize flights are limited on the flights operated by Jet2.com and may be unavailable even if there is general availability on a particular flight.
- This prize is subject to the Jet2holidays and Jet2.com general terms and conditions which can be found at https://www.jet2holidays.com/terms-and-conditions and http://www.jet2.com/terms respectively.
- Jet2holidays reserves the right (but shall be under no obligation) to offer alternative dates/destinations of equal or greater value if there is no hotel availability or seat availability on a chosen flight or if Jet2holidays has difficulties in acquiring any advertised prize(s).
- The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. The prize must be taken by the prize winner (who must be over the age of 18) along with their selected travel companions, subject to the maximum number of passengers specified within the prize details. Flights must be taken at the same time.
- Any changes to the prize, cancellations or fees payable are subject to the standard Jet2holidays or Jet2.com terms and conditions. The prize duration may not be extended and the room type may not be changed by the winner. Any additional passengers booked will be charged at normal rates for additional flights and rooms.
- Jet2holidays reserves the right to amend or cancel the flights or holiday for administrative reasons without prior notice.
- Please note that schedules are not guaranteed. Flights to certain destinations are only available on certain days.
- Jet2holidays will not be liable for any cancellations or changes to the prize draw or the prizes, or for any loss or damage entrants or accompanying passengers suffer as a result of entering the prize draw provided that nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit the liability of Jet2holidays in relation to personal injury or death caused by Jet2holidays negligence or for fraud.
- Employees and officers of Jet2holidays, Jet2.com Limited ("Jet2.com"), Fowler Welch-Coolchain Limited, Dart Group plc or any organisation professionally involved with the prize draw, or their close relatives, are not eligible to enter.
- Entrants details will be used to administer the Competition. Winners details will be passed to Jet2holidays to administer the prizes. Winners names may also be published on Facebook and may be published elsewhere online (including on Jet2holidays’ websites and on social media such as Twitter) and winners details may be used in future marketing activity by Jet2holidays.
- This prize must not be sold or auctioned.
- We require winner name, contact number, postal address & email to facilitate the prize.
- Due to the nature of prize donations, please be aware that it can take a couple of weeks to confirm dates.
-The prize is non transferable and no cash or credit alternatives will be offered.
- This is a charity competition and as such no refunds are given.
