There's something for everyone! Show your Welsh spirit on Wales’ national day and proudly wear that daffodil & wave your Welsh flag with passion at Cardiff’s official St David’s Day Celebrations. Cardiff Council with partners the St David's Day Committee have put together an exciting and cultural festival in honour of St David and all things Welsh!
You'll enjoy an overnight stay in the Hilton Hotel, Cardiff for 2 adults and 2 children including a full Welsh breakfast the next morning. You'll also be able to tuck into a peri peri feast at Nando's and hit the shops with £100 of Love 2 Shop Vouchers.
Not only that, all four of you will get to experience a performance of Under Milk Wood at the New Theatre on Friday 14th March at 7:30pm too.

Take part in the St David’s Day Parade on Saturday 1st March.
See if you can spot the famous Giants of Wales, Owain Glyndwr, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Gethin Jenkins and Nessa on your way round! The Parade leaves City Hall at 12.30pm and travels down Kingsway, St John Street, Working Street, The Hayes, Mill Lane, St Mary Street, High Street and through Cardiff Castle’s main gate into the castle grounds at approximately 1.15pm. Pop along to the entertainment in Cardiff Castle on the 1st March with free admission between 1pm and 3pm and enjoy Welsh music, folk dancing, carnival characters and drumming in the historical Castle grounds until 3:30pm.
If leek tossing and Bara brith eating competitions sound good, then the National Museum Cardiff is the place for you, there's even Welsh cake baking and a visit from Decimus the dragon. It's on the 26th and 27th Feb, don't miss out!
Hayes Craft Market is full of unique crafted Welsh souvenirs and gifts, browse the stalls between 10am and 5.30pm, perfect for presents or a little treat for yourself. Its on between 27th Feb and 1st March, lots of time to shop, shop, shop!
Fancy a little challenge? Then join in the St David’s Day run on the 2nd March raising money for local charities. Having gone from strength to strength over the years raising thousands of pounds, the route around Bute Park is perfect for all the family with lots of local entertainment to keep your spirits up along the way.
Enjoy La Traviata, Welsh National Opera at the Wales Millennium Centre between 11th February and 1st March. Or head over to St David's Hall for a medley of traditional Welsh songs St David's Day Gala on Saturday 1st March from 7.00 pm with Conductor Grant Llewellyn.
Where better to celebrate St David’s Day than at St Fagan’s National History Museum. Call in for a wealth of all things Welsh including folk dancing, traditional baking, giant daffodils and a complimentary Welsh cake, yum!
Celebrate your welsh roots with an evening Under Milk Wood. Performing from 11th to 15th March, Under Milk Wood has humorous and enchanting characters living in Llareggub, a small Welsh town by the sea
Enter the St David’s Day Competition at Cardiff Story Museum and draw something Welsh for St David's Day! The competition opens on 22nd February and all entries must be handed in to museum staff by 5pm on St David's Day 1 March. Children of all ages can enter to get the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Winners will be revealed on the Cardiff Story Museum website. Look out for your entry!
Get into the St David’s Day Spirit and show your support!
Here are just a few simple ideas to get you started:
• Pin a daffodil or leek to your clothes
• Wear your Welsh rugby or football shirt
• Bake some Welsh cakes and sell them at work or to your neighbours for charity
• Wear the national costume
• Wear one of those famous daffodil or leek hats you see at rugby games
• Paint the Welsh flag on your face
• If you can brave the cold weather, why not wear a Welsh kilt?
