Johnny asks - "What was Stonehenge for?"

"Imagine the effort required to build Stonehenge, there's no way they would have done that unless they knew it would work - taking a punt on healing is unlikely!"

It's fair to say Johnny's a fairly sceptical person, so despite what the news reports have said , it takes a lot to convince him. He thought it was more likely to be a launching tower for a rocket, or have been built by giants. Other suggestions included:

  • A giant game of croquet.
  • Some form of stargate-esque device
  • Tommy Walsh was involved somehow.
  • A playground - slides and swings made out of stone. If you dig in the middle there is a roundabout and an ice cream van.
  • A fighting arena.
  • The site of the first rock concert.
  • A landing platform for aliens.
  • The site of an ancient rave
  • The first football pitch - they started off with ten teams and narrowed it down to two.

So, what do think the real purpose of Stonehenge was? Let us know in the comments section below!

if it was a 'stargate' device, which became operational.... ii know which celebrities i would like to see transfered to a galaxy far, far away.
