We Weren't Ready For All The Pretty Little Liars Tributes As The Cast Finish Filming For Good

Heartbroken is an understatement.

In all honesty, we’re surprised we made it to season 7 of Pretty Little Liars. After the amount of tears we’ve shed and anxiety inducing moments that it’s put us through, the show has definitely made us question why on earth we would do it to ourselves.

But, nonetheless, here we are and now filming has ended for the series.

Done. Finito. No more.

Yep, the Liars have kissed goodbye to Rosewood and Hanna (Ashley Benson), Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) have all posted seriously heart-warming tributes to the show.

And, seeing as it’s the 21st century, they’ve all been done on social media for dedicated fans of the show to see.

#PLLFinale trended on Twitter last night and we’ve rounded up the tributes from the cast to give you all the feels.

Grab the tissues. It’s going to be emotional.

Ashley Benson posted a sweet throwback photo from 7 years ago when the girls first started filming. Just look how innocent they all are. They have NO idea what they’re in for.

Seven years later the day has come to say goodbye.

Reflecting on these last seven years in my empty room I called home. I will never forget this experience. I was so lucky to work with such amazing people who have affected my life greatly. I am so happy to know they will be my family from here on out. To the fans...... what can I say other than I love you so much. Thank you for being on this journey with me and giving me so much support. I wouldn't be here without all of you. I'm sad to say bye to Hanna..... but I'm excited to see what the future holds and I'm so happy to know that all of you will be by my side

Troian Bellisario posted an email that she got from one of the crew as if Spencer had written it. And just… #spoby4life

When you get to your last day of work on @prettylittleliars and @halfadams writes you an email as Spencer... saying thank you and goodbye. I had no idea how hard this would be.

Shay Mitchell opted for a humorous approach and yes, we agree, you’ve pretty much nailed the shocked expression these days.

Lucy Hale also opted for the TBT option as she admitted that she has “bittersweet feelings” about saying goodbye to Aria.

The day has come to say goodbye to my second home, a character that helped shaped me and so many people who mean the world to me. Bittersweet feelings today, but so proud of what we've done.

Sasha Pieterse shared a message as she prepared herself for all the “happy and sad tears”.

I can't believe that the day has come. In a couple of hours I'll be going to work for the last time at my second home. Although this day will be filled with happy and sad tears, I'll be forever grateful to share them with the ones I've come to call family. #pllfamily

But the most emotional tribute came from showrunner and producer, I.Marlene King and we just can’t even cope.

This isn't a good photo, but it's an important one. I snapped it quickly from across a subway platform several years ago. Keegan and I were both working in the city, but managed to catch up one afternoon. We walked and talked for hours, waxing poetic and picking apart the little moments of our lives. It's a habit he and I continue to this day. Of the many blessings this show has bestowed upon me, meeting and befriending this fellow counts as one of the most important. As I reflect on these years together in my dressing room on stage 6 on the WB lot (apparently James Dean once climbed above it and hid in the rafters) it is silent. I am unable to find the words to equate how tremendously emotional I feel. It is unlike anything I could ever explain. I will think about this often, and look back fondly on what we all shared together. I can't even believe it. So grateful for the support of our fans and friends. I will miss this family so very much.
