Ant & Dec Forced To Step In As Technical Issue Sparks Britain's Got Talent Miming Rumour

Ant & Dec did their best to keep things going...

The first live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent 2017 had a bit of a nervy start after technical difficulties caused many to claim that one of the acts were miming!

The St. Patrick's Junior Choir Drumgreenag took to the stage to perform a brilliant version of Katy Perry's mega-hit 'Roar', but as they went to begin their song a technical issue meant the backing music played incorrectly and they couldn't hear it.

After Ant & Dec came onto the stage to try and smooth things over, a burst of the choir's voices could be heard and many people have claimed that it proves that the choir's performance wasn't live.

We know that most singers use a backing track with some additional backing vocals to give the performance a bit of a boost, but there were a lot of people on Twitter who just weren't convinced...

Sadly the choir didn't make it through to the live finals, but hopefully they enjoyed their time as part of the show. The final takes place on Sunday 4th June at 7.30pm with singer Kyle Tomlinson and magic act DNA the first two acts through.
