Jay-Z's real name is Shawn Corey Carter. He was born on 4th December 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. When he was younger he was known as "Jazzy". He later changed his rap moniker to Jay-Z to salute his mentor rapper and producer, Jaz-O, and the subway lines of his hometown of Brooklyn. Picture: PA
