The Irish judge will apparently be making another appearance on the next series with the future of Tulisa and Nicole still in doubt.
Louis Walsh has reportedly been confirmed to be making a return to his judges seat on the next series of The X Factor.
The future of the panel has been cast in some doubt over recent weeks with news that Simon Cowell is planning a shake-up.
Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger have both revealed that they don't know what the future holds, but Irish star Louis will make his tenth appearance.
"He's been told by the heads of entertainment at ITV that he's coming back and [executive producer] Richard Holloway has also said he'll be back," a source told The Sun.
"Obviously he wants to see the contract in his hand but everyone who has the power to make a decision on it has said he's coming back so if that changes something very odd has gone on."
The insider continued: "Normally it's Simon who upsets the apple cart at the last minute but he's been desperate to keep Louis on the show so he's unlikely to give him the axe. He's always said he wants to do 10 series of the show."
Sharon Osbourne has also been rumoured to be heading back to the show after leaving back in 2008.
