The N-Dubz singer may have her signature gesture banned over concerns about product placement.
Tulisa Contostavlos may be banned from making her signature arm gesture on The X Factor following complaints she could be illegally promoting her new fragrance.
The reality show panellist makes her entrance on The X Factor each week by holding her forearm out to display a tattoo saying The Female Boss, which is also the name of the new perfume Tulisa launched last month.
Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has reportedly launched an investigation after receiving complaints the move breaks rules on the promotion and reference of commercial products on air.
The complaints are also regarding a segment on The Xtra Factor that made reference to Tulisa's perfume in connection with the N-Dubz singer's tattoo.
"We are looking into the complaints," Ofcom confirmed to the Daily Star.
Tulisa confirmed this week she has begun recording solo material and promised her first single will be released in early 2012.
Tulisa's fellow The X Factor judge Gary Barlow recently predicted the N-Dubz singer will become a 'massive star' once her solo career launches.
N-Dubz will release their first greatest hits compilation on 28th November.
