The N-Dubz star admits she was unsure to debut the track at first because it wasn't penned by herself.
Tulisa Contostavlos has confessed that she nearly didn't release her Vodafone Big Top 40 number one 'Young' as her debut solo single because she hadn't penned it herself.
The X Factor judge told Capitalfm.com, however, that the song was written in such a way that it could have been hers and it "represents everything" she is about.
Speaking about the single, she said: "It was one of those records that when I heard it I went 'I just have to have this record'. It just represents everything I'm about and even though I was kind of in doubt about putting out a single that I hadn't written myself as a first single.
"I said it was written in such a way that I could have wrote it anyway – I could relate to it that much so I went 'yep, that's fine give me that record – I want to take it'."
The track was penned by her former boyfriend and N-Dubz star Fazer and the singer recently admitted that if the pair made an album together it would be "a smash".
Meanwhile, Tulisa was recently crowned as FHM's sexiest woman in the world in a new poll beating the likes of Cheryl Cole and Rihanna in the top 100 rundown.
