The 'Warzone' singers are celebrating after their first US single release has reached platinum status in America.
The Wanted have announced their debut US single 'Glad You Came' has gone platinum in America, meaning the track has now sold over one million copies since its release at the end of January.
The 'Lightning' singers confirmed the news on Twitter this evening (14th March) and described themselves as "overwhelmed" by the support of their growing US fan base.
"You guys ready for the big news???" The Wanted tweeted today. "Today #GladYouCame went platinum in the USA.
"That means over a million of you purchased our song! #GladYouCamePlatinum," the five-piece band wrote. "We can't thank our #TWFanmily & The WantedUS enough for supporting us the way you have. You guys are truly THE BEST."
They later added: "We are SO OVERWHELMED right now… cannot tell you how amazing you guys make us feel. This is MENTAL #GladYouCamePlatinum."
'Glad You Came' is currently at number four on the US Billboard Top 100 chart as well as in second place on the US iTunes chart.
In an earlier tweet Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Siva Kaneswaran suggested they have more news to announce later this evening.
Yesterday The Wanted revealed their former Vodafone Big Top 40 number one 'Gold Forever' will release a US release next week (20th March) ahead of the release of their first US album on 24th April.
The Wanted are also due to return to America next week ready for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
