The 'I Found You' singers have also promised they are planning their first world tour for next year.
The Wanted have hinted at a potential April release for their highly anticipated third studio album while confirming they will be back writing new music after Christmas.
The 'Glad You Came' stars returned with new single 'I Found You' this autumn and have now revealed they expect to launch the follow-up to 2011's 'Battleground' around April next year.
"We think April," band member Jay McGuiness told Billboard. "It was meant to be this Christmas but the album just wasn't ready.
"We pushed it back and we're thinking about April we'll have something ready," the 'Chasing The Sun' star explained. "But we're doing a lot of writing in January after the Christmas break so we'll know a lot more then I think."
The Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran also confirmed the band are planning to embark on their first world tour next year.
"i think we're going to release the album in April, we're going to sort out a tour, our first world tour [and] we're going to do a bit on TV too," Siva said, regarding the band's plans for the next twelve months.
