The Wanted Announce American Idol Performance For April

The 'Glad You Came' singers will take to the stage on FOX's popular US reality series at the start of April.

The Wanted have announced they will be performing on an upcoming episode of American Idol.

The 'Lightning' singers, who are in the US right now promoting their upcoming EP release, confirmed last night (28th March) that they will feature on the popular FOX talent show at the start of April.

"And now for our big news...we are excited to announce we will be performing on American Idol on 5th April!! #TheWantedOnIdol," The Wanted tweeted yesterday evening. "5th April...be there #TheWantedOnIdol."

Band member Siva Kaneswaran later added: "The wanted on American idol!!!! Here we go!!!! #thewantedonidol."

The 'Warzone' singers also accepted their first platinum plaque in the US recently after their debut American single 'Glad You Came' reached over one million sales.

The Wanted recently confirmed the Example-penned track 'Chasing The Sun' will be their next UK single release.
