The Sugababes are being forced to find a new name after losing a legal battle to ex-band member Mutya Buena.
Buena who quit the girl-group back in 2005 had revealed her intention to claim back the name with rumours of a reunion with original members Keisha Buchanan and Siobahn Donaghy.
The singer revealed the news on her Facebook page posting;
"I won the official name of the Sugababes now!!! I deserve this! I’m over the moon!".
The current Sugababes line-up which is made up of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen will now be forced to continue under a different name which could possibly delay the launch of their new album.
The band’s next single ‘Freedom’ is due for release in September.
