Rihanna's First River Island Clothing Line To Debut At London Fashion Week In February

The 'Where Have You Been' star will debut Rihanna For River Island at next month's UK fashion event.

Rihanna's first ever fashion collection will be officially unveiled at London Fashion Week next month with the debut of Rihanna for River Island.

The 'Diamonds' singer announced back in July 2012 that she has teamed up with the UK fashion giant to design her first line of clothing and accessories, and Rihanna's spring/summer 2013 collection will now make its debut at a showcase on 16th February.

"Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me," Rihanna said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege.

"I can't wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!" the 'We Found Love' star explained.

"We are very excited to present our Rihanna for River Island collection at London Fashion Week," River Island Chief Executive Ben Lewis added. "This is the perfect platform to showcase Rihanna's design talent and ambition."

Rihanna For River Island will debut on 16th February at London Fashion Week and will launch globally in stores and online from 5th March.

After announcing the project last year Rihanna credited the "family" nature of River Island as her reason behind pairing up with the brand, and praising the UK capital for being a "really inspiring" place for fashion.

Rihanna is set to hit the road on her 'Diamonds' world tour in two months time beginning in North America this March before arriving on UK shores in June.
