The 'Talk That Talk' singer commissioned British artist to create the design.
Rihanna has paid £100,000 for a portrait of Marylin Monroe made from 65,000 crystals.
The 'Talk That Talk' star is believed to have commissioned British artist Claire Milner to create the 5ft picture, which now resides in her Los Angeles home.
Weighing 13 stone, the portrait constantly changes colour and was put together by hand at Claire's Yorkshire studio before being shipped to the US.
The artist told The Sun: "Because of who Rihanna is, everything had to be done through her interior decorators. But they told me afterwards that she loved it.
"A 100 per cent Swarovski crystal portrait is very luxurious - people stand and stare because it constantly changes colour, sending rainbows round the room."
Meanwhile, Rihanna will both star in and executively produce a brand new television series in the UK based on fashion.
The 'We Found Love' singer has signed on for her first television project, which will see Rihanna seeking out the next big UK fashion designer.
