The 'Diamonds' star says she can "handle" any backlash from the couple's recent reunion.
Rihanna has seemingly confirmed she and Chris Brown are back together after months of speculation, and says she can "handle" any public backlash that comes from their reconciliation.
The couple originally split back in 2009 amid a storm of controversy but have been spotted out in public regularly since Chris' split with girlfriend Karrueche Tran in summer 2012, and Rihanna's new comments suggest they are officially an item once again.
"I decided it was more important for me to be happy, I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that," Rihanna reveals in the new issue of Rolling Stone. "Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake.
"After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash," the 'We Found Love' star explained. "I can handle it."
Rihanna goes on to say that although everyone has their own opinion about her romance with the 'Turn Up The Music' star, it's completely different for them personally.
"When you add up the pieces from the outside it's not the cutest puzzle in the world," Rihanna admits. "You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club and you think you know.
"But it's different now. We don't have those types of arguments anymore," she continues. "We talk about s**t. We value each other."
Rihanna also reassured fans by promising that Chris "doesn't have the luxury of f*****g again", and that she feels confident about their future together.
"That's just not an option. I can't say that nothing else will ever go wrong," she added. "But I'm pretty solid in knowing that he's disgusted by that. And I wouldn't have gone this far if I ever thought it was a possibility."
