The 'We Found Love' singer is seen saying she lost her best friend in the couple's tumultuous break-up.
Rihanna has seemingly spoken out about her notorious split from singer Chris Brown by saying it had felt like she lost her "best friend" at the time.
The 'We Found Love' singer is seen opening up about her relationship with the 'Sweet Love' star to US talkshow host Oprah for a brand new episode of Oprah's Next Chapter, and trailers for the highly anticipated episode suggest Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship will be covered in depth.
"It was embarrassing. It was humiliating," Rihanna reveals, during the online trailers. "I lost my best friend. I was resentful. I held a grudge. It was dark."
Rihanna is also seen being asked by Oprah, "Do you think Chris Brown is a true love for you?" and "Where does your relationship stand today?", although her answers will not be revealed until the episode airs later this month.

The Bajan pop star seemingly made up with her ex-boyfriend earlier this year when the two worked together on remixes for her song 'Birthday Cake' and his track 'Turn Up the Music', as well as reportedly being spotted meeting up during Rihanna's recent Mediterranean holiday, although representatives for Chris have since denied this meeting took place.
The Oprah interview will also see Rihanna discussing the pressures of fame, her love of swearing as well as visiting her home town in Barbados.
Rihanna's interview on Oprah: the Next Chapter is set to air on the US network OWN on 19th August.
