One Direction Claim Second US Number One Album With 'Take Me Home'

The 'One Thing' stars have also scored the third best opening week selling record of the year.
One Direction have been named as the new number one on the US Billboard 200 chart with their new album 'Take Me Home'.
The album, which features hit singles 'Live While We're Young' and the new Ed Sheeran penned 'Little Things' shot straight to the top of the charts in its opening week shifting a total of 540,000 copies.
The album has also claimed the third best selling opening week sales behind fellow Brits Mumford & Sons with 'Babel' and Taylor Swift's 'Red' – which sold over 1.2 million copies in its first week.
The band made history earlier this year with their debut album after it hit number one across the band – making them the first British act in the chart's history to do so.
Harry Styles thanked the group's fans for all their continued support throughout the year and with their latest release.
He tweeted: "Hello ...Thank you so much for all your support with this album. We can't believe the number ones today! Thank you thank you. Huge Love .xx "
Meanwhile, One Direction were among the starts who performed for The Queen this week as they took to the stage for the Royal Variety Show.
The band are also set tot appear at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball next month, performing alongside the likes of JLS, Bruno Mars and Lawson live from the O2 Arena in London.
