The 'One Thing' star says fans should prepare themselves for new music from the band.
One Direction star Niall Horan has promised fans the band will have come new music coming their way very soon, suggesting a new release is only a couple of months away.
The 'Gotta Be You' stars are currently holed up in the recording studio as they work on the follow-u- to their 2011 debut release 'Up All Night', and have been working with songwriters including McFly and Ed Sheeran on their second offering.
"Guys love you all soo much! We been in the studio lately!" Niall tweeted last night (26th July). "We're comin back with more music in the next couple of months! get ready xx.
"Best fans on the planet! Love you all, goodnight!" he added. "Ps. imagine 2 years ago we didn't know each other, all this is thanks t you! #repayment."
Fellow band member Liam Payne also confirmed the band had been back in the studio over the weekend, simply posting: "Studio timeeeee lets get working on this albummm :).'
One Direction returned from their headline tour in America earlier this month, and the likes of Liam and Harry Styles have both been pictured looking for new houses to buy in London.
